Issued late in 1974, Al Kaline and the other 11 members of the 3000-Hit Club are pictured.

On September 24, 1974, Al Kaline became the 12th player in MLB history to reach the 3,000-hit milestone when he hit a double off the Orioles' Dave McNally. After reaching the milestone, Kaline announced that he would retire. His finished with 3,007 hits.
