1958 Michigan State v. Indiana basketball program

At this Mar. 8, 1958 game, the host Spartans lost to Indiana, 75-72. The Hoosier victory earned IU the Big Ten title (10-4); MSU placed second (9-5).

MSU's starting lineup, coached by Forddy Anderson, included Johnny Green, Jack Quiggle, Larry Hedden, Bob Anderegg and Tom Rand.

Indiana's starting lineup, coached by Branch McCracken, included Archie Dees, Sam Gee, Bob Wilkinson, Jerry Thompson and Pete Obremskey. The conference champs advanced to the NCAA tournament and finished No. 10 in the rankings.
