1958 Michigan State v. Detroit basketball program

At this Dec. 6, 1958 game, the host Spartans defeated Detroit, 88-51. MSU went on to win the Big Ten championship and played in the NCAA tournament.

MSU's starting lineup, coached by Forddy Anderson, included Johnny Green, Horace Walker, Lance Olson, Tom Rand and Bob Anderegg.

Detroit's starting lineup, coached by Bob Calihan, included Ralph Uchison, George Heger, Dick Dylus, John Belohlavek and Ray Albee.
