1951 Michigan State v. Indiana basketball program

At this Jan. 13, 1951 game, the host Spartans lost to nationally ranked Indiana, 47-37.

MSU's starting lineup, coached by Pete Newell, included Bill Bower, Leif Carlson, Ray Steffen, Jim Snodgrass and Gordon Stauffer.

Indiana's starting lineup, coached by Branch McCracken, included Phil Buck, Jack Brown, Bill Garrett, Gene Ring and Bob Masters. The Hoosiers finished the season with a 19-3 record and were ranked in the Top Ten.
