At this Dec. 19, 1950 game, the host Spartans beat Marquette, 74-42.

MSU's starting lineup, coached by Pete Newell, included Bill Bower, Ray Steffen, Leif Carlson, Jim Snodgrass and Gordon Stauffer.

Marquette's starting lineup, coached by Bill Chandler, included Eugene Schramka, Francis Ramirez, Grant Wittberger, Glenn Sievers and John Powers.
