1979 NCAA Track & Field Championships belt buckle

The University of Illinois hosted the 1979 NCAA Track & Field Championships and this belt buckle was given to each of the participants.

On one of the two heavy metal 2" circles is the NCAA logo and the words "National Collegiate Athletic Association • Founded 1906" On the other circle is the UI logo 1979 and the words "National Track & Field Championship".

Engraved on the back side of the buckle are the words " University of Illinois • May 29-June 2, 1979 " and " Compliments of the Financial Institutions of Champaign County "
