Coach Pete Elliott's 1965 Fighting Illini football team compiled a 6-4 overall record and placed fifth in the Big Ten standings. Captained by All-America running back Jim Grabowski (featured on the poster) and linebacker Don Hansen, Illinois' squad also included all-star players Ron Acks, Bo Batchelder and Gary Eickman.
