The 2002-03 Illini men's basketball team placed eleventh in the final AP poll (25-7 record), won the Big Ten Tournament title and played two games in the NCAA Tournament. Illinois' captains included Brian Cook, Sean Harrington and Jerrance Howard. Other star players included Dee Brown, Deron Williams, Roger Powell Jr., Luther Head, Sean Harrington, James Augustine and Nick Smith.
