The 2006-07 Illinois basketball team compiled a 23-12 overall record and was 9-7 in Big Ten play. A 51-43 victory over No. 23 Indiana and an appearance marked Illinois' eighth consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Co-captains Warren Carter and Rich McBride were two members of a starting lineup that also included Brian Randle, Shaun Pruitt and Chester Frazier.
