Mickey Mantle - Roger Maris - Yogi Berra 3x5s PLUS photo

Here are three EXTREMELY difficult-to-find autographs, all in one package. Included are the legendary Yankee Hall of Fame triumvirate of #7, #9 and #8. Separately, these respectively go on ebay for as much as $600 to $800 (Mantle), $500 to $900 (Maris) and $50 to $100 (Berra).

The Maris and the Berra 3x5s are only their signatures, but the Mickey inscribed his personally to me (To Mike Best Wishes Mickey Mantle) in red ink.

This package also includes a beautiful, matted 8x10 photo of the trio. The mat measures 14x11.

All three of these Yankees are now deceased. Mickey Mantle died in 1995; Roger Maris died in 1985; Yogi Berra died in 2015.

AUTHENTICATION - About 50 years ago, when I first began collecting sports memorabilia, I discovered Jack Smalling's very first baseball autograph collectors handbook (the original was mimeographed--I still have it). Nearly every day, as a high school teenager, I would check off five-to-ten names on my list. I'd write each player (mostly retired players) a brief customized letter, enclose five 3x5 index cards or sometimes a Sporting News clipping, and also--most importantly--a self-addressed stamped envelope (stamps were a nickel in those days). Nearly every day, I would receive four or five prizes in the mailbox, sometimes with five signed cards, sometimes with just one. One out of twenty would even enclose a HOF Plaque card or a small autographed photo. The item you're considering here was one of those items.
